In Kharkiv, strong explosions were heard during an air raid alert on the night of April 24. The city is under enemy missile attack, according to Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, and Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov.

The explosions in Kharkiv occurred around 00:35.

Before that, the Air Force command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of missile danger for the Kharkiv region.

"Russian army is striking! Take cover," the head of the Regional Military Administration wrote on his Telegram channel.

There were subsequent explosions in the city.

"There are strong explosions in Kharkiv. Stay safe," the mayor urged.

Preliminarily, the enemy is striking the city with ballistic missiles.

As later reported by Telegram Channel Suspilne, the series of explosions occurred outside Kharkiv.

Russian strikes on Kharkiv

It should be noted that this city often suffers aerial attacks from the Russian army, who use kamikaze drones and various types of missiles for shelling. However, recently, the occupiers have significantly increased their strikes on Kharkiv, as well as the district and region, including destroying the energy and critical infrastructure, which has led to significant electricity problems for residents.

For example, the city was under shelling on April 23. and a day before that, on April 22, Russian forces also struck Kharkiv with a guided aviation missile X-59, which hit the television tower. As a result of the attack, this object of the city's television infrastructure was heavily damaged.
