What Avram Glazer did as he left Wembley after being questioned over Erik ten Hag

There was a particularly unedifying sight at Wembley during the FA Cup final.

It wasn’t Antony cupping his ears to the Coventry players, it was something far more unpleasant than that where Manchester United fans are concerned.

Avram Glazer was among the spectators at Wembley, watching Manchester United edge to a penalty shootout victory.

He was sat alongside new investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who’s Ineos group are taking a proactive approach into the running of the football operations.

Avram Glazer was approached after semi-final

Avram Glazer predictably sought to make a swift exit following Manchester United’s victory and avoid the media.

PerThe Mail, the American was quizzed by a reporter over manager Erik ten Hag. And he ignored the question.

The report stated: “Asked what the future holds for manager Erik ten Hag, Glazer was expressionless as he hot-footed to the exit.”

To be fair, we wouldn’t care what Avram Glazer thought of the manager anyway, but his continued disdain for the media is in direct contrast to Ratcliffe’s approach.

Speaking ahead of the game, Ratcliffe was communicative about his plans for United, which included a moan about the wait to get Dan Ashworth on board.

Avram Glazer flights were charged to United

Avram Glazer made two flights to London last year to watch Manchester United in cup finals.

PerThe Athletic, the cost of these private jets were £250,000, twice, both charged to Manchester United expenses.

There’s no word on whether that cost was incurred this time around, but you wouldn’t rule it out.

Manchester United fans would prefer it if he simply stayed at home.
