The first border marker has been installed on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This marks the beginning of the implementation of agreements regarding the demarcation of the state border, according to the page of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

In the office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev, it was reported that the work of the expert groups of the two countries is ongoing, according to the Azertag edition.
Situation in Nagorno-Karabakh
In 2023, Azerbaijan conducted a military operation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, resulting in the unrecognized republic surrendering. The Armenian government refused to transfer troops to the region.
Later, Pashinyan officially recognized an area of Azerbaijan as 86.6 thousand square kilometers, which also includes Nagorno-Karabakh. However, the countries have not yet reached an agreement.
Last week, Russia began withdrawing its peacekeeping contingent from Nagorno-Karabakh.
