'Sad' fans fear TV show is 'ending' after 18 years - 'may be time to let go'

April 23 saw the Little People, Big World season 25 finale air. Although the episode marks the end of the season, many “sad” fans of the show are convinced the whole show is “ending.” From the shift in family dynamics to some reflective scenes shown during episode 10, LPBW fans are worried.

Since 2006, TLC viewers have been used to seeing the Roloffs appearing on-screen on their hit reality TV show, Little People, Big World. Matt and Amy Roloff let the cameras in on their lives almost two decades ago. Since then, there have been many endings along the way, as well as beginnings. The couple got divorced, but their kids also got married and had families of their own.

Fans think Little People Big World is ‘ending’

As LPBW season 25 episode 10 aired, many viewers of the show took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their thoughts on the show.

One fan asked: “Is this the final episode? Seems like it,” and more asked the same: “Is this the season finale or series finale?”

Another replied: “It was the season finale. That’s how it was advertised. Felt more series finale though.”

More agreed that it felt the whole show was coming to an close in episode 10, tweeting: “I think this may be the end of this show.”

Others said they feel it could be time for the curtains to close on the Roloff family: “Certainly felt like it. With Zach and Tori saying they won’t come back for another season there really is no show. They need to end it.”

More echoed the same message, tweeting: “This seems like the #LPBW wrapup to the series…no kids want to be on it and everyone is moving on…..”

‘Grudges’ galore

While Zach Roloff explained in episode 10 how his relationship with his dad isn’t great, he said there’s “no grudge” between them.

But, fans are convinced it’s quite the opposite as many notice a huge dynamic shift among the family members. Many suggest the “grudge” between Matt and Zach is affecting the show.

One said: “If the kids don’t ask about their grandparents it’s because the parents don’t teach them. Have healthy boundaries but don’t shut family out from your kids, life is too short to hold grudges.”

However, more commented on how “life happens” as it can be hard to catch up with family members regularly: “Amy misses her grandkids. Life happens. Kids are in school, activities, and distance. It’s not always easy to get kids to grandmas.”

More are “worried” over Zach and Tori’s kids not having a relationship with their grandparents, stating how “life is too short.”

But, Zach explained how his children “don’t ask” about going to the farm.

Another tweeted: “I gotta rock with Zack all the way here. Maybe the relationship with Matt in time will get resolved, maybe it won’t. Time will tell.”

However, it seems TLC fans will have to see what the future of the show as a whole looks like, too, as some of its main cast members are leaving.

Zach and Tori explained on their Raising Heights podcast how they won’t be returning to LPBW after season 25. They said that “chapter of their life has closed” back in February.
