This morning, Russia struck a storage facility for decommissioned automotive equipment in Odesa. The servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were not there, according to the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine.
"The Russian Federation struck the place of storage of decommissioned automobile equipment in the city of Odesa," the message reads.
Russia is trying to search for objects of military infrastructure in the rear.
"However, there were no casualties, servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were not present at the site of the attack," the report emphasizes.
The Southern Defense Forces add that Russia does not spare expensive ammunition. This time the attack could have cost him nearly $10 million.
Russian morning attack on Odesa
Around 7 a.m. today there were explosions in Odesa. As Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, later reported, Russia launched a rocket attack on the city.
So far, it is known about one victim, a 43-year-old woman. She was taken to the hospital in a moderate condition.
In addition, about 30 houses were damaged by the shock wave: windows and glass were broken, and ceilings fell in some houses.
Due to the Russian strike, there is a power outage in the Khadzhybei district, the energy companies promise to provide light to all homes by the end of the day.
Meanwhile, Ukrzaliznytsia warned about the delay of some trains to Odesa due to the Russian missile attack.
Russian shelling of Odesa
Russian troops often terrorize Odesa, particularly from the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. In addition, the Russians used to often deliver devastating strikes with their Soviet Kh-22 missiles, launching them from Tu-22M3 aircraft.
But, as the head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov predicts, Russians will stop launching Kh-22s over Odesa after losing this strategic bomber.
