'I find it difficult...': Simon Jordan makes fresh Man City prediction after watching Arsenal's 5-0 win

Arsenal put the pressure on Manchester City again last night, as they thrashed Chelsea to go four points clear at the top of the Premier League table – and Simon Jordan has now made a fresh prediction.

City were in action against Chelsea themselves on Saturday in the FA Cup semi-final, with Bernardo Silva scoring in a 1-0 win.

Shortly after that game, Arsenal managed to beat Wolves 2-0 at Molineux.

And last night, they put another three points on the board, thrashing Chelsea 5-0. It was a statement win from Mikel Arteta’s side, with City now needing to respond in their game against Brighton on Thursday.

It could be a tricky game at the Amex Stadium, with Brighton under Roberto De Zerbi obviously a very respectable outfit these days.

Despite Arsenal sitting pretty at the top of the table, the fate of the title is still in City’s hands – and Simon Jordan has given a prediction after last night’s win for Arsenal…

City fans were hoping that Chelsea could come through last night and throw a spanner in the works.

But those hopes were very quickly extinguished, with Leandro Trossard putting the Gunners 1-0 up after four minutes.

The scoreline stayed that way for a while, before Arsenal really hit top gear, as they scored four more goals – two from Kai Havertz and two more Ben White.

Undoubtedly, this was a statement win and performance from Arsenal. Even if Chelsea were poor in the absence of former City man Cole Palmer.

Simon Jordan was an interested spectator last night, and this morning, the pundit has given his thoughts abut the title race.

He does not foresee a situation where City will be affected by the pressure of Arsenal being top by four points.

He said on talkSPORT: “I find it difficult to see past Man City not being able to overcome, with due respect to these sides, Wolves and West Ham. I think if City go to Brighton and they’re at it, they beat Brighton nine times out of 10. I think Forest they’ll beat, the challenge won’t be Fulham but it might be Spurs.

“I think City will do their job. I don’t think goal difference will come into play. They’ll do their job. But I think what Arsenal have done, is do what they should do, which is keep the title race honest.”

Arsenal aren’t going away and City need to be perfect

City are potentially going to have to be perfect if they are going to seal a fourth straight Premier League title this year.

While the title may be in City’s hands, Arsenal are in a really good position right now being four points clear. It’s about having points on the board.

They have responded very well to that damaging defeat to Aston Villa, and City must now respond themselves.

We know that City have been there before, and put together brilliant finishes to Premier League seasons. Another one is required here, with Arsenal looking strong and Liverpool also still there in the mix.
