Kate Middleton's 'disappearing act' is a breath of fresh air - 'Just what she wants'

Kate Middleton fans became ‘concerned about her whereabouts’ earlier this year when she disappeared from the spotlight after her planned abdominal surgery. She then popped back up with a family pic with her kids, but speculations went further when picture agencies issued a ‘kill notice’ on the edited photo.

A few ‘pap shots’ with Prince William later, Kate Middleton then announced her cancer diagnosis to the world, via video, where she was sat alone. In the statement, released March 22, the Princess said, “We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space, and privacy while I complete my treatment,” and she’s not been seen since.

Kate Middleton disappeared from the spotlight 37 days ago

“What has happened in the one month since Kate’s video verges on the bloody extraordinary – nothing,” Daniela Elser writes, in a piece for NewsAu. “No covertly-shot grainy phone footage of her leaving a Kings Lynn Cafe Nero with her morning almond latte has cropped up on X or Instagram or TikTok.”

“No German tabloid has published long lens shots of Kate and her three children enjoying a wholesome, windswept Norfolk beach gambol taken from a fishing vessel bobbing off the coastline,” she continues, stating, the Princess is, simply, nowhere to be seen.

The last time we saw Kate ‘in the flesh’ was on March 18, after she and her husband were papped at a farm shop close to their home.

The royal writer questions whether there has been any “enforcing going on behind the scenes,” as no pictures have been published of the Princess since, from outlets across the globe.

As well as this, no photos or videos have been seen of Kate on social media. “So have the social media giants ‘done something’ to ‘stem the tide of any photos that might have found their way online?” she questions.

However, Elser states that it’s probably a good thing, as the couple and their children have got the ‘breathing room’ they wanted after her diagnosis, stating finally, Wills “gets his girl what she really wants – some privacy.”

The Princess ‘stuck to tradition’ for Louis’ birthday – despite doubts

Despite doubts, after the infamous ‘photoshop fiasco’ the mom of three upheld her traditions of taking and releasing a new picture for her children’s birthdays, as Prince Louis turned six.

Taking to the joint Prince and Princess of Wales’ joint Instagram page, the couple posted a new photo of Prince Louis smiling for his birthday, alongside the caption: “Happy 6th Birthday, Prince Louis! Thank you for all the kind wishes today.”

The end of the caption included a camera emoji, alongside the words: “The Princess of Wales,” noting that Catherine had taken the picture herself.
