The drone coalition, led by Latvia, has already managed to gather nearly 500 million euros. They will be spent on drones for Ukraine, reported Latvian Defense Minister Andris Sprūds.

According to him, Denmark and the Netherlands have announced a joint procurement of drones worth 400 million euros. Currently, this is the largest contribution to the drone coalition.

Additionally, Canada has allocated 70 million euros for the purchase of drones for Ukraine. Lithuania has allocated 3 million euros, and Latvia at least 10 million euros.

"And this is just the beginning. Active negotiations with other countries in the drone coalition are ongoing," the minister wrote.

Drone Coalition

Earlier this year, several countries decided to create a Drone Coalition to help Ukraine with drones. Ukrainian troops are in constant need of supplies of such important equipment.

Recently, Prime Minister Evika Silinia said that Latvia is preparing to send Ukraine the first batch of drones as part of the drone coalition.

Deputy Defense Minister Kateryna Chernohorenko said that Ukraine is sharing the results of testing their drones on the battlefield with allies participating in the Drone Coalition.
