Authorities are investigating an armed robbery Tuesday at a jewelry store in Maywood.

Authorities are investigating an armed robbery at a jewelry store in Maywood Tuesday, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said Wednesday.

Police from three separate police departments responded to an emergency call at 42 West Pleasant Avenue in Maywood at approximately 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, officials said.

Maywood, Rochelle Park and Paramus police responded to the scene and detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office responded shortly thereafter, authorities said.

The incident is being investigated by the Maywood Police Department and prosecutor’s office are investigating the incident.

Authorities did not identify the store targeted in the robbery, but photos from the scene show it was Diamond Fantasy Jewelry. A person who answered the phone at the store Wednesday declined to comment.

No additional information was released Wednesday.
