'Since when': Bruno Fernandes sends message after Man Utd win, Anthony Elanga responds

Bruno Fernandes was a man on a mission for Manchester United against Sheffield United, now he’s sent a message.

Manchester United got back into the win column on Wednesday, beating Sheffield United 4-2 as Bruno Fernandes starred.

The captain was absolutely fantastic in the win as he scored two goals, including one absolute screamer and he also assisted the fourth goal which was Rasmus Hojlund‘s goal.

He proved beyond doubt why he deserves to be the captain in this performance as without him, it might’ve been another embarrassing night for Erik ten Hag.

Fernandes put the team on his back and dragged them to the three points as he made it five consecutive games he’s scored in.

Now, he’s sent a message which has been replied to by some teammates and ex-teammates. Here’s what has been said.

Bruno Fernandes sends a message after 2-1 win

After the result, Fernandes took to his Instagram to send a message to fans along with some photos from Wednesday’s game.

His caption read, “Old Trafford“, which he followed up with a heart emoji. This message is loud and clear and resembles the love he has for this club.

It’s a love he deserves to have returned from the fans as he’s our best player and always gives everything no matter what.

The truth is, if we had 11 Fernandes’ on the pitch, we’d win the lot as he’d outwork and outclass everyone else.

But under this post, the No. 8 got some interesting responses from teammates past and present.

Anthony Elanga among those to respond to Fernandes

Under the captain’s post, former United man Anthony Elanga left a comment, which was clearly about the goal from outside the box on Fernandes’ weak foot.

Elanga commented, “The left foot??” with a heart eyes emoji, before he added, “Since when”.

This a cheeky jibe at his former teammate, however, the rest of the comments were more full of praise.

The 250th academy graduate Ethan Wheatley commented, “Wow”.

While emerging talent Amir Ibragimov also commented, “What a player”, with a heart emoji added.

The final name to comment was Amad Diallo as he added two emojis which signalled that he was blown away by the goal.
