It’s officially time to pull up the anchor and get to work because Below Deck Med is back. This time around, Captain Sandy is running a tight ship and she’s got some familiar faces on board with her. Not only are the crew members returning Bravo stars, but some of the charter guests are TV show OGs, too.
Bravo welcomes chef Johnathan Shillingford, and crew members Joe Bradley, Iain Maclean, Nathan Gallagher, Gael Cameron, Elena Dubaich, and Bri Muller to season 9. Of course, Aesha Scott is also back where it all began. Though Aesha is returning to Below Deck Med, the other half of the dynamic duo, Captain Jason, is nowhere to be seen.
Below Deck Med fans think they spot Trishelle
This April, the Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 trailer arrived and the series’ location of Greece was revealed.
Fans are obviously excited for season 9 to get cracking, but they have to wait until June 3 for the show to premiere.
In the meantime, some are speculating they think a reality TV star is one of the show’s charter guests, namely Trishelle Cannatella.
Trishelle confirms the news
Taking to X (Twitter), one viewer took a screenshot from the trailer and wrote: “Wait is this blonde woman from the clip trishelle or am i seeing stuff? lol.”
Another fan, journalist and author Dave Quinn, tweeted: “Trishelle said, “I won THE TRAITORS and now I’m going on vacation.”
Responding to Dave’s tweet, Trishelle confirmed the news that she’s a season 9 charter guest.
She wrote: “Cats outta the bag!”
However, the timeline was slightly different than Dave suggested, as Trishelle said she went on Below Deck before The Traitors: “… and yes! We decided to charter the yacht with some friends before I did Traitors.”
Traitors star’s fame ‘wasn’t acknowledged’
Trishelle has spent decades on TV, so it’s no wonder she gets recognized from a quick clip of Below Deck.
But, she admits the crew didn’t really “acknowledge” who she was in another tweet.
A fan asked: “Here’s the question: Do they acknowledge you (and who you are) on the boat?..”
She replied: “Not really actually. I haven’t seen the episode but the crew were mostly foreign so I don’t think they knew. Captain Sandy did I think but we didn’t really talk about it.”
More fans joked in the comments how Trishelle seems to have been on “every TV show.” More pulled up some of her credits and appearances in a Reddit thread following the Below Deck Med trailer release.
One person said the star has also been on Married At First Sight as a friend of a groom, and more said they want to see her as a Real Housewife one day.
