Report: What sources at Chelsea are saying about their chances of hiring a top manager to replace Pochettino

Reports have now shared what those close to Chelsea are saying about their chances to make a splash in the managerial market this summer.

According to The Telegraph, there had originally been some fears over their ability to attract the top names this summer, however sources don’t quite agree with that.

There is clearly a high amount of pressure on Pochettino at the helm at Stamford Bridge right now, with results and performances being far from consistent.

Mauricio Pochettino under pressure

Supporters who were not convinced up to now will not have seen anything change off the back of their 5-0 defeat to close rivals Arsenal, putting a real dent into their hopes of qualifying for Europe next season.

It has been widely reported that there is a divide amongst the board over what is the best course of action to take at the end of this campaign.

It was exclusively predicted to The Chelsea Chronicle that Pochettino will be replaced at the end of the season, with a number of top managers seeming to be out of the job this summer.

With the likes of Liverpool and Bayern Munich needing new bosses for next season, there have been some fears that the top names will be convinced that Stamford Bridge is an attractive place to come.

Chelsea believe they can attract top managers

However, it has now been claimed that the club believe a number of top managers would already be prepared to come in, should the role become vacant.

As far as names are concerned, one they have been linked to this week especially is Ruben Amorim, with the talented coach looking likely to leave Sporting Lisbon with another league title at the end of this season.

Outside of him, they have been reported to be interested in the likes of Roberto De Zerbi, with there also being an admiration for the talents of Thiago Motta.
