The USA plans to triple the production of artillery ammunition, which amounts to 100,000 155mm shells per month, stated Vice Chief of Staff of the US Army Lt. General James Mingus.

In the US Army, a significant increase in the production of 155mm artillery ammunition is forecasted, as announced yesterday, April 24, by US Army Vice Chief of Staff Lt. General James Mingus.

He noted that with the addition, approved on April 23, by next summer, the US will reach a production of 100,000 units of 155mm artillery ammunition.

According to Mingus, currently, the US defense is producing 30,000 155mm artillery ammunition.

Thus, the United States will increase the production volume of 155mm ammunition to 1.2 million per year.

The US emphasizes that the increase in production of 155mm artillery ammunition is critically important for Ukraine.

Assistance provided by the United States to Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation, the United States has been supporting Ukraine. During this time, America has provided our country with dozens of military aid packages.

Ukraine has received various assistance from the United States, including armored vehicles, air defense systems, and more.

It is worth noting that on April 24, President Joe Biden signed a bill allocating funds to assist Ukraine.

Furthermore, in March, the United States covertly supplied Ukraine with long-range ATACMS missiles, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces used against Russian forces last week.
