Macy’s recently unveiled a location in New Jersey donning a new store format.

The department store chain unveiled a small-format on April 19. It’s located at 2 Centerton Rd. in Mount Laurel in a space that formerly housed a Bed Bath & Beyond.

Mount Laurel’s new Macy’s encompasses 30,200 square feet of space at the Centerton Square shopping complex.

Macy’s announced its small-format concept last year. The company wants to open up to 30 of the scaled-back stores by 2025. There are currently over a dozen in operation.

The new stores will occupy about one-fifth of the size of a traditional Macy’s department store and offer Macy’s products, along with other popular brands.

Macy’s made its first small-format opening back in 2020.

Another small-scaled Macy’s is set to open in Ramsey although an exact opening date has yet to be announced.

Macy’s joins brand like Chipotle, Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Panera Bread and more in the Burlington County shopping center.
