Bruno Fernandes is proving Kevin De Bruyne absolutely right this season, he tops European charts

Manchester United have not had the greatest season by all means, but there have been some good performers along the way.

We’ve seen the rise of Kobbie Mainoo, which has been the indefinite highlight of the season. The 19-year-old is destined to be an absolute superstar at Old Trafford, that is if he isn’t already.

Alongside Mainoo, we’ve seen the continued rise of Alejandro Garnacho. The dazzling Argentine has been a constant presence in the first-team squad this season, cropping up with some magic moments.

But as good as the fresh blood has been, it’s important to take note of someone who’s done it year on year for the Red Devils. Club captain – Bruno Fernandes.

Bruno Fernandes a creative machine in the last two fixtures

After his marvellous performance against Sheffield United, fans are starting to appreciate the genius of the Portuguese Magnifico once again.

His two goals, including one wonder strike, and an assist against the Blades ultimately swayed the game in United’s favour. A terrific performance.

But this was also the case against Coventry, Bournemouth, and Chelsea. He’s been United’s best player by a country mile over the past few months, which has been reflected in his stats.

Bruno has created 18 chances in his last two games alone (9 vs Coventry, 9 vs Sheffield United). But there’s a stat even more impressive.

Bruno Fernandes best in Europe

Out of Europe’s ‘big five’ leagues, which are the Premier League, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Serie A and La Liga – Bruno Fernandes has created the most chances, with 140.

He’s proving Kevin de Bruyne right with his comments from the beginning of the season back in August 2023 – “he’s a creative machine.”

Bruno tops the charts in Europe… and some clowns say he doesn’t create enough to play attacking midfield at Manchester United.
