Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'do business with the devil' in major u-turn

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made a major ‘U-turn’ after Megxit, a royal commentator claims, after their recent PR decision.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are retying their bonds with the UK four years after making the decision to leave. The royals left The Firm in January 2020, and although said they wanted to keep up with their duties while living in America, have chosen to be in the US full-time. This came after the late Queen Elizabeth II said they couldn’t have a ‘half in, half out’ approach. Prince Harry recently changed his official residence to the States, backdating the application to June 2023 – the same time his dad King Charles asked him and his wife to leave their royal home for good. Meghan Markle and Harry have reportedly started the wheels in motion to set up shop in the UK again in terms of PR, which one commentator claims is them ‘doing a deal with the devil’.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have hired a London-based PR representative, Charlie Gipson, who has worked with big brands such as Mars Bars and Pedigree dog food.

It’s been a while since the Duke, brother to Prince William, and Meg have tried to reestablish a bond with his homeland.

Commentator Daniela Elser says this is a major U-turn since Megxit.

The Telegraph reports Gipson has been hired to at as their ‘brand manager’, which Elser says “would no doubt bring a proud tear to the eye of Kris Jenner“.

Elser writes: “The background here is to remember that when the Sussexes upped polo sticks and decided they wanted to make their own way in the world via borrowed private jet, they also very volubly broke up with the British press.”

The 39-year-old also called tabloid press ‘the devil’ during an interview with 60 Minutes last year.

The outlet claims Meghan and Harry have “pivoted on their initial refusal to deal with the British tabloids, with their current team recognizing that it was more conducive to maintain open lines of communication.”

‘After years, they want to do business with ‘the devil’?’

Elser explains: “Harry and Meghan devoted a significant part of their nearly six-hour TV series to laying out the many misdemeanors and sins of the British press, and yet suddenly want to have “open lines of communication”? After all these years and lawsuits and so much simmering, roiling anger, they are going to be paying someone a salary to do business with “the devil”?

“I don’t know about your forehead, but mine is already starting to hurt.

“Why now suddenly do the Sussexes want or need someone on the ground and within spitting distance of a Wetherspoons pub? Why do they care about their brand in a country that they had “fled”, ‘fearing for their lives’, as the duke told ITV’s Tom Bradby?”

The commentator adds it’s “interesting” they’ve made this U-turn when King Charles and Kate Middleton are ‘out of the picture’ due to health reasons.

She adds: “Maybe the lesson we should all be drawing here is, if life, or the royal family, gives you lemons, then all you can do is make lemon curd for the TV cameras.”
