Manchester United fans have a lot of advice for Marcus Rashford after ‘enough is enough’ X post

Marcus Rashford took to X last night to express his unhappiness over the recent treatment he’s been subjected to.

This season for Manchester United No. 10, Marcus Rashford hasn’t been good enough by his recent standards.

Last season, we all watched him bag 30 goals and were convinced that he’d finally levelled up and could be counted on going forward.

But this season hasn’t been the same and for whatever reason he’s struggled to perform with just eight goals and 5 assists.

This has led to some pretty unfair criticism bordering on abuse from different media outlets and the fanbase.

So now in response, he’s sent a message of his own, tweeting: “I appreciate your support! It is abuse and has been for months. Enough is enough”.

After this post went viral, the fans had lots of advice for Rashford.

Manchester United fans have advice after Marcus Rashford’s post

On X after Rashford’s tweet, fans were full of advice for the United winger.

One fan wrote an incredibly supportive message in the comments under the post: “Sorry about what you have to face every single day. You don’t deserve it. No one does. But please know many genuinely support you, love you for who you are & will stand with you in the good & bad times.”

A second, however, took a less sympathetic tone but rather shared some decent advice: “Stay off ‘X’ then Marcus and focus on improving on the pitch.”

“No one hates you, bro, every Man United fan wants to see you succeed”, wrote another fan.

A fan account also had harsh words for Rashford, although words that make sense: “Fans will be fans, they are brutal. It didn’t start with you and it certainly wouldn’t end with you. This is Man United and you’ve been poor so grow up and play good football or leave!”

A fifth pointed out that Rashford was poor against Coventry, writing: “After your last performance, I’d hop off X and get on the training pitch if I was you

A final fan argued there’s a difference between abuse and criticism: “Defended you enough. It is not abuse. It’s simply criticism that is deserved. Either ball out at Man United or leave if you cannot handle the pressure of performing at your very best week in and week out.”

What should Manchester United do with him?

Rashford on his day can be the star of any team, and under absolutely no circumstances should United sanction a deal to sell him to a rival.

However, it’s difficult to make an argument for him to stay should, for example, PSG make a move for him which also would probably end up being a mistake.

After how he played in 2022/23, United should be doing everything possible to provide him a platform to get back to that level.

External factors have been at play this season for Rashford as he’s not been at the races for 90% of this campaign.

For the fans, it’s time we get behind Rashford, we know he’s not been good enough, but so will he, let’s support him and hope he gets back to that level again.
