What Is Keith Urban’s Song “Go Home W U” About?

“Go Home W U” is a cheeky song about going home with someone at the end of the night. Urban and Wilson sing about having too much to drink while chatting with someone they’ve had their eye on. In a last-ditch effort to seal the deal, they suggest that person should just take them home so they don’t have to drive themselves.

“I won’t lie, yes I had more than a few / You know, I shouldn’t be drivin’ / I think I should probably go home with you / Take me home”, Urban and Wilson harmonize on the chorus.

Keith Urban Hinted at a Collaboration with Lainey Wilson

Just before Wilson boarded a plane headed to Australia for a headlining stint, Urban offered to drive her to the airport. In a video posted to social media, the two drive in the car together chatting about all this Oz.

At one point in the video — as Urban is unloading her bags from the car — he says something interesting.

“Honestly? I wish I could go home with you,” he says, before adding, “That’s a good song title. We should do that.”

The country hitmaker had also been teasing a secret duet on his forthcoming 2024 album. He told Taste of Country Nights in March there is one joint effort on the project.

“There’s one duet on the record, which is going to come out later this year, that I’m super psyched about,” he shared at the time. “It’s been frustrating, because we finished it in June last year.”

“So I’ve been sitting on this thing since then, driving me crazy, just really wanting to get it out,” he adds.

He must be relieved that the news is finally out in the open.
