The United States is already sending new weapons to Ukraine this week after Congress allocated funding for this purpose, according to the President of the United States Joe Biden on Twitter (X).

He reminded that early Wednesday morning, April 24, he received a bill with money for Ukraine for signing. It was signed before noon.

"And this week, we’re sending weapons and equipment to Ukraine as it defends itself against Russian bombardment," Biden emphasized.

Assistance from the USA

This week the US Congress passed a new law, allocating over $60 billion in aid to Ukraine. Initially, it passed the House of Representatives, and later the Senate. The initiative received strong support in both chambers of Congress.

Then, US President Joe Biden signed the bill and immediately announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine. It includes weaponry worth $1 billion.

As part of the package, our military will receive long-range ATACMS missiles, with a range of 300 kilometers. They fly on a ballistic trajectory.

The USA practically did not provide any assistance to Ukraine for several months because the bill could not pass Congress for a long time.
