Roy Keane and Gary Neville disagree over Man Utd vs Burnley scoreline prediction as Ian Wright makes compelling point

Manchester United legends Roy Keane and Gary Neville have made their respective Premier League predictions for the Burnley clash at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Erik ten Hag’s men return to action this weekend after their 4-2 comeback win against Sheffield United at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.

Manchester United have unimpressed in their Premier League campaign this season and Erik ten Hag has faced mounting criticism over his side’s lacklustre form.

The Red Devils have five league fixtures remaining in the current campaign and United languish in sixth place in the Premier League table.

Erik ten Hag’s side are 13 points adrift from fourth-place Aston Villa, who have played one more league match than United, in the race for top four.

United, who are only three points clear of seventh-place Newcastle, are all but certain to miss out on a top-four finish after dropping costly points in recent weeks.

However, United manager Ten Hag could still end his season on a high note if the Red Devils can overcome Manchester City in the FA Cup final next month.

The Red Devils survived a potential FA Cup upset against Coventry City last weekend and ensured their place in the final after a penalty shootout win at Wembley.

Neville and Carragher’s Man Utd vs Burnley prediction

Speaking on the Stick to Football show, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher teamed up again for their Premier League predictions against Roy Keane and Ian Wright.

Burnley arrive at Old Trafford on Saturday in 19th place in the Premier League table and are three points behind 17th-place Nottingham Forest this season.

Vincent Kompany’s men have won only one of their last five Premier League matches and could still avoid relegation before the campaign is out.

During their predictions for Manchester United’s upcoming match, both Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher were in agreement that the Red Devils would come out on top.

The two Sky Sports pundits backed Erik ten Hag’s men to beat Burnley 3-1 at Old Trafford this weekend.

“They’ll beat Burnley. They’ll beat Burnley,” Carragher said on The Overlap.

Neville added: “3-1. Yeah, 3-1.”

Keane and Wright’s Man Utd vs Burnley prediction

Following Neville and Carragher’s prediction, Roy Keane and Ian Wright made their scoreline prediction for United vs Burnley.

Wright pointed to United’s woes in defence this season and how the Red Devils have been vulnerable to large amounts of shots from opposition teams.

The Arsenal legend won Keane over with his point about United’s vulnerability against opposition teams and the pair went for a 3-2 scoreline for the Red Devils.

“Everybody’s getting shots against United. Everybody,” Wright told Keane.

Responding to Wright, Keane added: “Yeah, I’ll go with it, Wright.”

Wright finally said: “3-2 United.”
