Ukrainian and Latvian companies have significant potential for expanding the production of combat drones, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"I am extremely grateful to Latvia for its leadership in the Drone Coalition. We are currently working together to increase production - we need more drones. I believe that Ukrainian and Latvian companies can contribute a lot in this direction," said the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba.
In particular, Latvia will join the Czech initiative to purchase artillery shells, and the issue of shell production was one of the central topics during bilateral negotiations.
Military aid to Ukraine from Western partners
Britain has supported Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion. Ukraine has received military and humanitarian aid, including tanks, missiles, generators, civilian vehicles, and much more.
On April 26, the largest military aid package to Ukraine was allocated worth $6 billion.
Additionally, the date of the first deliveries of artillery shells to Ukraine under the Czech initiative was revealed.
