Goldman Sachs Group isn't playing games.
The Wall Street behemoth put its employees on notice about setting up meetings in Paris this summer as part of a sneaky effort to watch the Olympic Games on the company's dime, according to a report.
The global investment banking firm alerted employees in an email that any trip to the "City of Lights" between July 24 and Aug. 14 must be cleared by the finance department, Bloomberg reported.
"In line with previous Olympic games, we have asked our people to effectively manage their spending and ensure coordination with firm sponsored events for our clients during the period of the Paris games," a spokesperson for the company said.
The games, the report said, offer staffers the chance to set up junkets on the company's tab. But banks, like Goldman Sachs, are keeping a sharp eye on those costs.
