‘I think’: Paul Merson shares who he thinks will win the Premier League title

Paul Merson has shared where he thinks Manchester City will finish in the Premier League title race.

After beating Brighton & Hove Albion 4-0 on Thursday, this put City one point behind league leaders Arsenal with a game in hand.

Ahead of tomorrow’s fixtures, which will see the Blues take on Nottingham Forest away from home after Arsenal’s game against Tottenham Hotspur, one pundit and former top-flight player has shared his thoughts on how this latest title race will pan out.

In his latest column for Sportskeeda ahead of tomorrow’s match against Forest, Merson had this to say about the title race.

He said: “The pressure will be on Manchester City if Arsenal win again, but Pep Guardiola and his side are a better team when the pressure is on and need to produce.

“There is no team like them in world football – they absolutely blew Brighton away 4-0 without Erling Haaland in what was supposed to be a tricky game in the Premier League title race.

“Kevin De Bruyne’s goal against Brighton was a thing of beauty and here’s a stat for you – it was his first-ever headed goal in the Premier League and what a beauty it was!

“With just four games left for the 2023-24 campaign to conclude, I can’t see Man City losing another game – I think they will be crowned champions once again.”

Man City have experience when it comes to title races

Pep Guardiola’s side have won five of the last six Premier League trophies, beating the Gunners to last season’s title.

Having not lost a league game since early December and winning 14 matches since then, it’s not hard to see why Merson thinks the Blues will go unbeaten in their final five league games of the campaign and get their hands on another title.
