Over the last day, 71 combat engagements were registered on the frontline in Ukraine. The situation is the most tense in the Avdiivka sector, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
In total, the enemy launched 31 missile and 46 air strikes, fired 23 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas.
Situation at the frontlines
The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions has not changed significantly. No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.
They carried out air strikes near the settlements of Strilecha, Synelnykove and Vovchanski Khutory in the Kharkiv region. More than 20 settlements were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar attacks, including Khrinivka and Leonivka in the Chernihiv region; Myropilske, Nova Sloboda, and Kliusy in the Sumy region.
In the Kupiansk direction, our troops repelled 7 attacks in the vicinity of Kyslivka, Kharkiv region; Novoyehorivka and Stelmakhivka, Luhansk region. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 12 attacks in the areas of Nevske and Serebryanske forestry in the Luhansk region; Terny in the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted air strikes near the settlements of Terny, Yampolivka in the Donetsk region and Serebryanske forestry in the Luhansk region. More than 10 localities suffered from artillery and mortar attacks, including Makiivka in the Luhansk region; Terny, Yampolivka, Zarichne in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, our troops repelled 6 attacks in the vicinity of Spirne, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Novyi in the Donetsk region, where the enemy was trying to improve its tactical position. The enemy launched air strikes near Chasiv Yar and Druzhba in the Donetsk region. More than 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 24 attacks near Novokalynove, Keramik, Umanske and Netaylove in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to force our units out of their positions.
The enemy also launched air strikes near the settlements of Arkhangelske, Novozhelanne and Karlivka in the Donetsk region. More than 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Arkhangelske, Sokil and Novopokrovske in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Vodyane, Paraskoviivka and west of Pobeda in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defense of our troops 10 times. About 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, attacked the positions of our defenders twice near Staromayorske in the Donetsk region and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Malynivka, Bilohirya, Robotyne, and Pyatikhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not abandon its intention to force our units from the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River, but did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions during the day. He carried out air strikes near the settlements of Krynky and Ivanivka in the Kherson region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Ivanivka, Novotiahynka, Veletenske, and Kizomys in the Kherson region.
Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes against Russians
Over the course of the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 16 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated. Ukrainian air defense forces also destroyed 1 Kh-59 guided missile.
