On Saturday, Manchester United were a tough watch, but in Spain there was one loanee who was on fire.
As Manchester United supporters had to watch both Alejandro Garnacho and Antony miss four big chances between them – although the latter scored.
To make matters more frustrating, in Germany, Jadon Sancho got on the scoresheet for Borussia Dortmund despite it coming in a 4-1 loss.
But the star of the show was undoubtedly Mason Greenwood who scored twice and assisted once for Getafe in a 3-1 win over Almeria.
This of course just the latest excellent result in a long line this season. But what are the Spanish media saying about his display?

What are the Spanish press saying about Mason Greenwood?
While looking into some Spanish outlets, it became clear that Greenwood had a belter of a game against Almeria as he scored twice but also assisted the third.
Marca reported that Almeria fell to a Getafe team “with an extraordinary Greenwood“. They then added their rating system in which they awarded him three stars, the man of the match.
Next up it was AS, who labelled Greenwood as a “little genius full of talent who’s trying to redirect his promising football career at Getafe”. They also gave him a three-star rating which was the player of the match.
The third outlet we looked at was Jornada which reported that Greenwood’s performance “condemned the Almeria team to relegation to the Second Division.”
Lastly, it was El Periodico who was also impressed, writing: “Great performance by the Englishman Mason Greenwood”, before hammering this point home by adding, that he was “key” in the win.
This can only be good news for Manchester United
For United and Ineos, the better Greenwood does, the easier it’ll be to sell him this summer or to find another suitor to take him on loan.
We reported recently that United won’t accept a bargain fee to sell, and will demand at least £50m which could make a sale this summer tricky and a loan more likely.
That being said, performances like this will go a long way in attracting those big bids this summer – they’ve certainly convinced Fabio Capello.
It seems like those are the only two options with a return to United looked far-fetched at this point with the winger believed to be keen on staying in Spain.
