'Let's get him in': Jamie O'Hara wants Spurs to sign £60m striker Harry Redknapp called 'fantastic'

Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a bright season for the most part, certainly more so than last season.

A year ago, Spurs were managerless and limping to an eighth-placed finish in the Premier League table.

Now, Tottenham are still in the picture for a Champions League spot, and European football of some kind is likely next season.

Spurs are likely to be busy in the summer transfer window as Ange Postecoglou looks to bolster his ranks further.

Attack is an area Tottenham could well look to strengthen, since they didn’t replace Harry Kane with a like-for-like forward.

And one striker Spurs have been linked with in recent months has once again impressed in the Premier League.

The player in question is Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, who scored a brace to help his side run out 5-1 winners over Sheffield United on Saturday.

Isak’s goals put him on 23 for the season in all competitions, and 19 in the Premier League, keeping him in the running for the division’s Golden Boot.

Earlier in April, The Sun claimed that Postecoglou wants to sign the Sweden international this summer.

And Jamie O’Hara has now urged Tottenham to push for Isak, telling talkSPORT he’d love to see him play for the Lilywhites.

What has Jamie O’Hara said about Tottenham target Alexander Isak?

O’Hara said on talkSPORT (27/4/24, 5:34pm): “We would love Isak at Tottenham. Let’s get him in. What a player he is!”

O’Hara is not the only Spurs-linked figure to sing the Newcastle man’s praises. Harry Redknapp recently lauded Isak too.

Redknapp told talkSPORT earlier this month: “The boy up front, Isak, looks a fantastic player, scoring goals every game recently.”

Newcastle paid a reported £60million for Isak, and he’s already looking like a bargain. Let’s see whether the Magpies will entertain any bids for him this summer.

Admittedly, it looks unlikely, as Newcastle won’t want to cash in on one of their biggest and most important assets. But Tottenham can certainly make enquiries at least.
