One ‘exceptional’ Liverpool player could be about to get a new contract extension in the next few months.
It’s been a great season for Liverpool, even though the last few games and the way things have ended are going to overshadow it.
There is no denying the month of April has been very disappointing. However, the reality is nobody expected Liverpool to even be in this position at the start of the season.
After what transpired last season, the objective for Liverpool was to get top four, and the Reds look on course to get that.
The fact that on top of that Klopp has been able to lift a trophy and compete for the Premier League title is just the cherry on top of the cake.
Despite all the injuries, Liverpool have been able to compete against the very best for much of the season.
This has been down to the way some of the club’s young academy players have stepped-up. Including one who has been described as ‘exceptional’ by Klopp.
Jarell Quansah Liverpool new contract latest
Jarell Quansah has been simply sensation this season. The 21-year-old has emerged out of nowhere in pre-season and has stepped up time and time again this season.
His performances this season have been on the highest calibre, and at times he’s been one of Liverpool’s best players in certain matches.
It should come as no surprise that according to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are now going to sit down with Quansah to discuss signing a new deal with the young centre-back.
“There is one in particular that I want to mention and that is Quansah, the young talented centre-back,” Romano said on the Here We Go podcast.
“We always mention the contracts of players like Van Dijk, Salah, Alexander-Arnold and all the others, but there is also a huge talent like Jarell Quansah, who is going to discuss a new deal with Liverpool in the coming months.
“From what I am hearing, one of the intentions of Liverpool is to discuss a new deal with him in the coming months. Quansah is another player who will be part of this list for Liverpool to discuss in the future and to keep the player as part of their ongoing project.”

We haven’t seen a centre-back like Quansah emerge from Liverpool’s academy in the 21st century. He’s a rare talent and definitely deserves a new deal.
When Joel Matip suffered his season ending injury, Quansah slotted in and replaced the Cameroonian without a single eye batted.
Liverpool will have saved a lot of money by promoting him into the first team, and there is even more to come from him in the coming years ahead.
The future is very bright at Anfield, and that will be the legacy Klopp has left behind in his final season at the club.
