Anthony Elanga and Angel Gomes send messages to ‘little genius’ Mason Greenwood after Getafe brace

Mason Greenwood impressed once again away from Manchester United.

The Manchester United loanee arguably had his best in a Getafe shirt since departing Old Trafford in the summer. Greenwood was involved in every single goal. He scored two and grabbed an assist as his side breezed past Almeria 3-1.

The Spanish media absolutely raved about him. Dubbed a ‘little genius’, the 22-year-old is making absolute waves in La Liga.

He appears to be loving life away from Carrington and is showing the Red Devils what they’re missing out on.

Mason Greenwood at his very best

His brace against Almeria now means that the English winger is having his best season ever as a professional first-team footballer.

He has beaten his record for goals and assists in a single season after scoring twice for Getafe on Saturday.

Greenwood now has eight goals and six assists throughout the 23/24 campaign, beating his previous best of 11 G/A in a single campaign with Manchester United in 19/20.

Sending a clear message to Erik ten Hag and Manchester United. However, as we all know, it just isn’t that simple to reintegrate him into Manchester United’s first-team squad.

Anthony Elanga and Angel Gomes send Mason Greenwood messages

He took to Instagram after the game to celebrate his fantastic performance. He wrote ‘Huge 3 points.’

Former Manchester United teammates and some of the ex-academy mob also commended him for his fine show in Spain.

Nottingham Forest star Anthony Elanga, Lille midfielder Angel Gomes and Luton Town’s Teden Mengi were among the players to send messages to Greenwood.

After such a long time out, it is impressive how easily Greenwood has taken to the game again. Whatever happens in the summer, he’s definitely added a few zeros to his price tag during his time at Getafe.
