Russian brutally killed two Ukrainians in shopping center in Germany

A Russian citizen attacked two Ukrainian men with a knife in a shopping center in the German city of Murnau. One died at the scene, while the other passed away in the nearest hospital, according to the statement from the local police.

"A 36-year-old died from his serious injuries on site, the second victim (23 years old) died in a nearby hospital that evening. As a result of the immediate search, a suspect was arrested," the statement reads.

Later, the German police determined that the deceased were Ukrainian citizens aged 23 and 36. Both resided in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen area.

"As part of the immediately initiated search operations on the same evening, not far from the crime scene, the 57-year-old suspect was located and arrested at his residential address. The suspect is a Russian citizen," law enforcement officials reported.

Regarding the detainee, the local prosecutor's office urgently requested the arrest of the 57-year-old suspect. The question of his detention will be resolved today, April 28.

Murders of Ukrainians in Germany

There have been several cases of murders of Ukrainians in Germany. In February, unknown individuals with knives attacked two Ukrainian basketball players in Düsseldorf, Germany. One of them, Volodymyr Yermakov, was killed. Two suspects are involved in his murder case, one of whom has already been released from custody.

On March 7, a 27-year-old Ukrainian woman was found murdered in Germany. It was also reported that her mother and daughter were missing. The police searched for them for quite some time. Law enforcement authorities have been searching for the daughter and mother of the deceased, who disappeared without a trace. On March 20, the police found the body of a 51-year-old woman, who is likely the mother of the previously murdered Ukrainian woman.
