'School boy': Jamie O'Hara slams £10m Tottenham player for what he did in the NLD today

Tottenham had a first half to forget against rivals Arsenal today as they succumbed to being 3-0 down at the break and Jamie O’Hara was not happy.

Ange Postecoglou’s side were well in the game but came undone thanks to Arsenal’s set-pieces once again producing the goods for Mikel Arteta’s side.

For Tottenham, the lack of defending from set-pieces was a major disappointment, given they know just how well Arsenal have done from them all season.

However, there was more defensive problems for Spurs as well. And not just from dead-ball situations.

Arsenal exploited the space in behind Tottenham a few times and could have scored even more goals than they did before Bukayo Saka rolled home for 2-0.

For Saka’s goal, he simply cut inside of Tottenham defender Ben Davies and stroked it past Vicario in goal.

And commenting on the incident and Davies’ defending, former Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara voiced his frustration at the Welshman for what he called ‘school boy stuff’ on X.

Tottenham missed Destiny Udogie as Ben Davies struggles

It was a real shame we didn’t get to see the power and pace of Udogie against Saka and Ben White down the left side today.

His injury was a big miss for Spurs and int he end, Davies simply struggled to cope with the directness, speed, and trickery of England star Saka.

For the goal here, he should have been wiser to what was coming and while Saka executed it well, it was all too easy as O’Hara says.

Tottenham have work to do this summer and another left-back might be something they look to bring in.

Davies, who only cost Spurs around £10m, has had a fine career and been a loyal servant to the club.

But with wingers like Saka around nowadays, the time might have come to move on for everyone and let Udogie thrive with a young understudy behind him.
