Father in disbelief after leaning how much his daughter’s fav makeup products cost

A father recieved the biggest reality check after taking his daughter to what appeared to be Sephora to purchase her favorite makeup and skincare.

There is a running trend on social media of Gen Alpha dedicating themselves to the world of cosmetics and skincare. Though somewhat controversial, largely due to age restrictions, it’s clear the younger generation is not stopping anytime soon despite the overwhelming price of makeup.

The price of makeup needs to chill

In a clip that has since gone viral, Aaron (@wereennistogether) took his daughter shopping to purchase some of her holy grail products. Unfortunately, he didn’t quite grasp what he was signing up for.

The clip started with Aaron’s daughter showing him the Sol de Janeiro body spray that gained many fans after going viral on TikTok. Aaron was visibly stunned as he was informed of the $38 price tag.

“They charging you $40 to smell like a latte?” the father questioned after being told it was vanilla-scented.

Though Aaron was okay with the $5 fake lashes, he drew the line at the Dior foundation which he said should have come with a matching bag. You guessed it, it didn’t.

Next up on the shopping trip was blending sponges, which are used to pack and blend liquid and cream products. Unlike his daughter, Aaron couldn’t quite grasp what a beauty blender was for, instead offering her a range of magic erasers he had just purchased.

1The internet is all too familiar with the cost of makeup

Most of Aaron’s followers already understood the extortionate price of modern makeup, with is believed to be around the average price of $30.

One person said: “‘It come with a bag? Then no’ I swear this is the voice in the back of my head at Ulte, yet the other always wins.”

“I’m a mom and I agree with the dads on this one. too expensive. hate shopping,” another person confessed.

Someone else wrote: “You gotta bring your dad when there’s a sale. You scaring him with the prices.”
