Georgians are once again protesting over the controversial law on foreign agents, which was recently passed by parliament in the first reading, reports News Georgia.

Tonight, a march to the parliament building began in Tbilisi. The protesters are against the law on foreign agents.

Quite a few people have already gathered near the parliament itself, waiting for the main part of the march to arrive.

Presumably, they plan to surround the parliament building.

Background

Earlier this month, the Georgian parliament passed a bill on foreign agents in the first reading. The second reading is scheduled for April 30.

After the bill was passed, protests resumed in Tbilisi. Residents oppose the scandalous law.

The European Parliament also reacted to the parliament's decision. The EP adopted a resolution in response to the Georgian government's actions.
