Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni intends to run for the European Parliament elections, which are scheduled to take place in June this year, according to Reuters.

According to the agency, Meloni's surname will be listed first on the ballot papers for the European elections in all five Italian constituencies for her party, Brothers of Italy, to strengthen support for her party.

"We want to do in Europe what we did in Italy... create a majority that brings together the centre-right forces and send the left into opposition," said the Italian Prime Minister.

She also stated that she would not use a minute of her time as prime minister for election campaigning.

Meloni initiated the creation of a Fund for Ukraine

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni acted as a mediator in reaching an agreement to create a €50 billion fund for Ukraine, which would bypass Hungary's veto.

It is noted that the Italian government played a leading role in this process, and Giorgia Meloni was the main driving force in mediating, leading to a decision that brought everyone to an agreement.
