Arsenal fans have a lot to say about Kai Havertz after 3-2 win v Tottenham Hotspur

Arsenal fans have now shared their thoughts on the performance Kai Havertz produced against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Arsenal maintained their pace at the top of the Premier League table with a 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.

The Gunners enjoyed a dream first half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. A Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg own goal put Mikel Arteta’s men ahead with just fifteen minutes on the clock, and before the half-hour mark Bukayo Saka had doubled the visitors’ lead.

After Arsenal won the ball back on the edge of their own penalty area, Saka played it to Kai Havertz. The German was able to hold the ball up long enough for the 22-year-old winger to set off on a run up the pitch.

Havertz then picked Saka out with a perfect long pass, which the Hale End academy graduate took seamlessly into his stride before cutting inside onto his favoured left foot and finding the bottom corner of the net.

Saka was able to match two feats last achieved by Ian Wright in his Arsenal days in this win over Spurs.

Kai Havertz lives up to big game reputation for Arsenal against Tottenham Hotspur

Things then got even better for Havertz just before the break. As Declan Rice swung in a corner, the 24-year-old was able to lose his marker and head in from close range. This strike marked the former Chelsea man’s 13th goal of the season so far.

Havertz has already enjoyed a more productive campaign in front of goal for Arsenal this time around than he ever managed in his time at Stamford Bridge.

Havertz has been hailed as a big game player in the past, and he lived up to that billing once again in this all-important Premier League clash between these two bitter capital city rivals.
