'I loved': Ian Wright says he saw Bukayo Saka do something he's never seen before vs Tottenham

Ian Wright has lauded Arsenal star Bukayo Saka after what the forward did in yesterday’s victory at Tottenham.

Arsenal weren’t at their best on Sunday but managed to pick up a crucial three points in the North London Derby.

Mikel Arteta’s men headed into the break with a 3-0 lead after goals from Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz.

It was a Tottenham player who opened the scoring for the Gunners as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg headed the ball past his goalkeeper from a corner.

The Spurs star glanced the ball into his own net following an excellent delivery from Saka, who was receiving his fair share of criticism from the Tottenham fans just moments before the opener.

Wright loved what Saka did after Arsenal goal

Footage has been doing the rounds on social media which shows Saka being mocked by Spurs fans right before Arsenal’s opener.

The Tottenham supporters were keen to remind the Arsenal star of his missed penalty at the Euros in 2021.

But Saka had the last laugh as his delivery led to Hojbjerg’s own goal. The Arsenal star responded to the Spurs fans by cupping his ear and it’s fair to say that Wright loved seeing this side of the Hale End Academy product.

He told Wrighty’s House: “Do you know what I loved about Saka today, which I haven’t seen him do before? The Tottenham fans were singing ‘you let your country down’ when he was taking the corner for the first goal and then the corner went in and when we scored he turned to them and cupped his ears. That’s what I want to see now. Levels.”
