'It's horrible': Ian Wright says he saw something 'heartbreaking' at full-time after Liverpool's draw with West Ham

According to Ian Wright something heartbreaking happened at full time in Liverpool’s draw with West Ham.

It’s a sad and bleak ending to Liverpool’s chapter with Jurgen Klopp. The way April has transpired and the way Liverpool have collapsed has been very disappointing to watch.

Klopp deserved a big send off, and a very successful ending to his Liverpool career. Now that will not be happening.

That was made apparent last week with the defeat to Everton at Goodison Park and the draw at West Ham United.

But while the performances themselves were disappointing. What will have been even more disappointing is everything that has gone on off the pitch for Liverpool.

Ian Wright on the heartbreaking thing between Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp

The ugliest scene in Liverpool’s draw with West Ham on Saturday afternoon was the spat between Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp.

Both got into an argument on the side line just as Salah was about to enter the pitch. What exactly they said to each other is a mystery. But it appeared that both of them were heated in the way they gestured towards each other.

Salah even had to be held back and calmed by Darwin Nunez. The tension was still high between the two of them after the game as well.

Speaking on the Wrighty’s House podcast, Ian Wright, shared what he noticed between the duo after the end of the game.

“It’s horrible the way it’s ending,” Wright said. “I felt really sad watching that. Mo Salah and Jurgen Klopp, there was a sadness to that.”

“Especially when the game ended and there was a close up on Mo walking off, he went to shake David Moyes’s hand, and Jurgen Klopp was walking there too and they never even looked at each other.

“I think that when you look at what that club have done under that manager with that player, for it to be now where Klopp is leaving at the end of the season, Salah is a little bit of form, and now they’re not talking, it’s heartbreaking.”

What does this mean for Salah and Klopp?

In reality, situations like this are always blown out of proportion. Salah is a competitive player, that’s why he is one of the best in the world.

He will want to play every game, even when he is not in his best form. But he hasn’t started two of Liverpool’s last three matches.

That might be why he was so frustrated on the side lines. But both Klopp and Salah are professionals. They will have talked it through and moved on.
