Report: What one Feyenoord staff member is saying about Arne Slot in training ahead of Liverpool move

This is what one Feyenoord staff member has said about Arne Slot ahead of his move to Liverpool.

In typical Michael Edwards fashion, Arne Slot’s imminent appointment has come out of the blue for Liverpool. The news broke from nowhere and things have rapidly accelerated within the space of a few hours.

Merely 24 hours before Slot emerged as the favourite,Liverpool seemed like they still had their sights set on Ruben Amorim.

However, very quickly after that, Slot became the favourite, and the rest is history. Slot seems to be Liverpool’s man and he will be warmly embraced by the club’s supporters and players.

What one Feyenoord colleague said about Arne Slot

Slot has an impressive record at Feyenoord and AZ Alkmaar. He has built successful teams and has been able to compete at the highest level in the Netherlands against teams with a lot bigger budgets.

He is also full of humour and is a nice relaxed character. That’s something that will really appeal to supporters. His demeanour, in that sense is similar to Jurgen Klopp.

According to a report by The Athletic, Slot wants his environment to be ‘positive and favourable’

He is very attentive to his players, and is not known to be a disciplinarian by nature. The report also claims that one of Slot’s colleagues said they never once heard him raise his voice at the training ground.

It’s an interesting detail ahead of his move to the club. Clearly, Slot is quite relaxed in the same way Klopp has been for most of his career. We’ve not seen the German raise his voice often during his tenure at the club.

What next for Arne Slot now?

It seems all we are waiting for now is confirmation from the two clubs of Slot’s move to Liverpool. When that is finally sorted, Liverpool will have some clarity over the club’s future.

Next will be to plan for the summer window ahead. It’s going to be a busy period, with plenty of changes expected around Anfield.

Slot will be at the forefront of the changes. He will be the club’s head-coach, and he will be tasked with reviving a Liverpool side that has fallen a little flat in the last month or so of the season.
