Emmanuel Adebayor says 'quality' Arsenal star destroyed one Tottenham player yesterday

Emmanuel Adebayor has said an Arsenal star was too much to handle for one Tottenham player in the north London derby.

The Gunners secured one of their most impressive results of the season on Sunday with a 3-2 victory against Tottenham, with Arsenal solidifying their spot at the top of the Premier League for another week despite Manchester City winning again.

With the title set to go down to the wire, beating the old enemy in their own backyard was quite a statement of intent from Arsenal, who will want to win their remaining three games of the season to lift the Premier League title.

And Adebayor noticed that one Tottenham player struggled against an Arsenal star.

Bukayo Saka praised for causing Ben Davies nightmares

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Adebayor was full of praise for Bukayo Saka over how much trouble the Arsenal winger gave Ben Davies, who starting at left-back struggled greatly against the England international.

Adebayor said about Saka causing Davies problems in the north London derby: “We talked about this before the game that if they leave and push both of their fullbacks in front, then it’s very difficult for them. A player like Saka on the side, you know what a different player he can be.

“Give him space and he can do whatever he wants to do. A player with his quality, if I am playing against him, I am telling the fullback to stay on him. Right now, he is on top of his game and playing his best football.

“But Davies is moving up front all the time. Davies isn’t going to be the one to score for Tottenham to win this game, so he has to stay in position, and have Bukayo Saka and that control. That’s what they aren’t doing and it’s going to make life so difficult for them. If you allow Saka to play with quality with one-v-one. We see how he makes that goal look so easy. Trust me, it’s not.”

Saka showed Tottenham why he’s one of the best in the world at Arsenal

Saka’s form this season has been nothing short of incredible this season, with the Arsenal winger again showing against Tottenham why he should be considered one of the best in the world.

And with three games left to go this season, Saka will want to take his game up another level if it means bringing a Premier League title back to Arsenal for the first time in 20 years.

Indeed, Saka has dragged Arsenal through the mud at times this season, and the forward will want to end the season on a massive high next month.
