Report: 777 Partners have new completion date in mind for Everton takeover, confident it will get done

Honestly, it is ridiculous to think just how easily Everton have sailed to safety this season, despite everything rumbling on in the background.

Had they been dealing with this takeover turmoil, or certainly these PSR sanctions in previous seasons, there is no way they would have survived.

And for that, they have Sean Dyche to thank, with the former Burnley boss bringing his steely setup and unrelenting mentality to Goodison Park at a time when they desperately needed it.

The manner in which he has guided this squad through some of the toughest storms in the club’s history deserves far more praise than he is getting, and hopefully this summer can see the bulk of those issues expunged at last.

777 Partners learn new takeover deadline

In an article penned by iNews, they dropped another damning piece of information regarding Everton’s ever-strengthening ties with 777 Partners.

And whilst this would be fine, it is not like the Miami-based firm has not had ample time to cement their status as owners of the Toffees, given they struck a deal with Farhad Moshiri back in September.

It is honestly quite ludicrous that this process is still ongoing, and they have not been turned away yet given their clear financial deficiencies.

This latest report actually suggests that the organisation are still somehow confident of a successful completion too, despite the fresh deadline.

Journalist Mark Douglas writes: ‘i has been told the American-based investment group’s timetable for completing a deal is the end of May and they are “confident” of fulfilling all four conditions attached to the transaction by the Premier League, who have informed them that they are “minded” to pass the deal late next month.’

Sean Dyche could thrive with a stable Everton

Had Dyche not been thrown into the mire with all of these issues, who knows how far he might have taken them by now?

After all, just by getting rid of their points deductions, they would sit 13th in the Premier League table on 44 points after 35 games.

For reference, last season saw them claim 36 points as they escaped the drop on the last day of the campaign, and the year before they finished on 39 points.

The progress is outstanding, and there for all to see.

So, whether it be 777 Partners or another unnamed firm, should they provide stability then the future is certainly bright for Everton under Dyche.

His football is not expansive, and will seldom earn the plaudits of football purists, but it has proven mightily effective. With a few key additions and a more peaceful backdrop, the Toffees should be nowhere near another relegation battle for a while.
