Liverpool are now fighting Barcelona to sign winger who is like ‘Mohamed Salah’ this summer

Liverpool are reportedly fighting with Barcelona to sign a player who has been likened to Mohamed Salah this summer.

Mohamed Salah will be staying at Liverpool this summer. However, that does not mean that the club will not be bringing in another offensive reinforcement.

The reality is that just because Salah will be staying at the club, does not mean all of the club’s other attackers will as well.

Most notably, Luis Diaz has also been linked with a move away, and it’s possible that he could be sold on.

If that’s the case, Liverpool will need to bring in a left-winger, and it seems they are fighting with Barcelona for the perfect fit.

Liverpool transfer latest about Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

There are plenty of profiles Liverpool could target this summer, but perhaps the one who would make the most sense is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

He’s a special player with the ability to take players on in one vs one situations, and who also has a proven track record at the highest level of the game.

According to Georgian journalist Bacho Tsalugelashvili speaking on 1 Station Radio as per Area Napoli, Liverpool are interested in Kvaratskhelia. But they will have to fight for his services.

“Liverpool is also interested in Kvaratskhelia, even if Barcelona’s interest is more concrete. There are management sources who confirm the Blaugrana club’s desire,” Tsalugelashvili said.

Fabio Capello explains why Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is like Mohamed Salah

Kvaratskhelia would be a good fit for Liverpool on the left flank, and he has his admirers in Italy.

Most notably, Fabio Capello, who has likened him to Mohamed Salah in the past.

“I am curious to see how Napoli do, especially Kvaratskhelia, who in his movements reminds me of an early Mohamed Salah.” Capello told Football Italia last season.

Now perhaps the Georgian could follow Salah to Anfield? If Diaz does depart this summer, you would not bet against it.
