It’s something she says she didn’t see coming. And, appearing on her podcast alongside her bestie Marysol Patton, Alexia speaks for the first time about where she’s at with everything.

Three weeks on from the shocking split, Alexia explains how she and Todd were married over two years, but they were in a relationship for five years previous to that. Breaking down in tears on the podcast episode, the Real Housewives of Miami star admits: “It’s so hard to talk about.” Her emotions prompted fans to comment: “Wow, she’s devastated. She really didn’t see it coming,” on X (Twitter).

Alexia is struggling post break up

Speaking on her podcast, Ay Por Favor, Bravo star Alexia said “for the first week, and still today” how she’d been “going back and forth in her head” trying to think “what happened.”

Describing herself as a “positive person,” Alexia explained how she “tries to think of all the beautiful times” they had together, including their vacations.

Despite admitting she is “strong” from her “life lessons,” the reality TV star said it’s currently tough for her to get through the breakup.

‘Anger is a part of the process’

Real Housewives star Alexia thanked her “rock” Marysol for “being by her side every day” as she explained the time was “painful” for her to get through.

She said: “I don’t want to have any anger, but I understand that anger is one of the grieving stages.”

Alexia added how she finds herself “lost” and finds it hard to retain her “strong” image.

The mom of two said: “Life doesn’t prepare you for emotional strength, we’re not born with that emotional strength but I have it because of all my life lessons. Everybody’s like ‘you’ve got this, you’re so strong’.”

Alexia also thanked her kids, Peter and Frankie, for being there for her, as well as many more people for their “outpouring of support” during the difficult time.

She added how she and Todd “still love each other” but “couldn’t find a way to fix things.”

With her two sons and a business to take care of, Alexia also said how she has to “heal” and get back on track.
