Pupils at Dame Bradbury’s Junior School in Saffron Walden secure team and individual success at Essex Primary Cross-Country Championships

Dame Bradbury’s Junior School pupils secured team and individual success at the Essex Primary Cross-Country Championships.

The Saffron Walden students were representing Uttlesford at Garon Park in Southend having previously triumphed in town and district rounds.

A stellar performance from Polly propelled the Year 5 girls’ team to the top spot while Ruby came first in the Year 3 girls’ race.

“We are so proud of our pupils and the great performances delivered at the event,” said Dame Bradbury’s head of sports Sam Godfrey.

“They all did incredibly well in the previous rounds and were on excellent form in the county championships, where they displayed the determination and hard work that we encourage at Dame Bradbury’s.

“It was brilliant to see how their efforts paid off on the day.”
