Bishop’s Stortford Breathe Easy Group welcomed Hertford and Stortford's Tory MP Julie Marson to a coffee and cake event.
The fundraiser was held at the Methodist Church in South Street on Saturday (April 27) and also marked the organisation’s ninth birthday.
The group is affiliated with the British Lung Foundation and offers support, advice and friendship for those with asthma and other conditions causing breathing difficulties.
Members meet months at the Community Church’s Charis Centre in Water Lane.
One of the founders, East Herts Cllr Diane Hollebon, said: “Julie is very supportive of our Breathe Easy group’s aims and objectives and we were pleased to welcome her.
“We also have our own website now (www.bsbeg.org.uk) so please do look us up. We welcome new members to join us at our meetings, which are normally held on the third Thursday of each month.”
