With his Manchester United career seemingly all-but over already, one member of Erik ten Hag’s squad is already turning his focus towards the summer window.
It had become apparent months ago that the Red Devils would not be looking to keep the 27-year-old at Old Trafford, regardless of what the future holds for the manager who brought him to England in the first place, reuniting with a player he worked with back in 2017.
Sofyan Amrabat, has largely looked ill at ease with the pace and the tenacity of English football almost from the very beginning. And, according to reports in Italy, one of the stars of Morocco’s World Cup campaign has no future at his parent club either, Amrabat’s Fiorentina contract expiring in 2025.
With that in mind, La Viola are reportedly ready to consider offers of around £12 million. That is nearly half the fee Manchester United would have had to pay to turn Amrabat’s loan into a permanent transfer.

Where the former Feyenoord and Utrecht enforcer ends up next remains to be seen.
Fabrizio Romano reported back in the winter that Juventus and Barcelona had considered Amrabat as something of a short-term, gap-plugger of a signing.
“Two clubs asked about the possibility of breaking the loan and signing Amrabat on a new loan for the January transfer window until the end of the season,” Romano said on his official YouTube channel
“The two clubs were, from what I heard, Juventus – Juventus asked for information on Amrabat but, for Fiorentina and Man Utd, it was a ‘no’ – and the same for Barcelona, who already wanted Amrabat one year ago.
“(Barca) asked about the possibility to return for Sofyan Amrabat in January. But it was again a ‘no’ from Man Utd. (They had) no intention to break that loan.”
There is reportedly still interest from a Fulham side who were also in the race prior to his deadline day move to the Red Devils in 2023.

Will Barcelona or Juventus return
Tuttomercatoweb adds that Amrabat, who is now represented by the same SEG agency which can also call Erik ten Hag and Rasmus Hojlund clients, has been offered to Milan by his representatives.
But with the midfielder keen to secure a contract similar to his Old Trafford one – where Amrabat takes home a reported £65,000-a-week – such demands could scupper any potential move to the Rossoneri.
Milan, TMW insist, are only likely to view Amrabat as an option should either Yacine Adli or Ismael Bennacer leave anyway.
Well, they do say you should be wary of signing players on the back of a few impressive displays at a World Cup or a European Championship. Man United found that out the hard way when bringing in Kleberson, a member of Brazil’s 2002 World-conquering squad, and it appears that Amrabat is destined to be remembered with similar disappointment at Old Trafford.
