The Championship is nearing its thrilling conclusion for the season, with teams still fighting for their place in or out of the division for next campaign.
Derby County have become one of the latest teams to confirm their spot in the second tier for 2024/25, following promotion from League One at their second attempt.
Paul Warne guided his side to second in the league, with the Rams’ win over Carlisle United likely to live long in the memory of those at Pride Park.
While celebrations have been in order, the Derby boss has to quickly turn his attention towards the Championship and the challenge ahead.
In the division there will be some familiar faces, old friends and foes alike, all waiting for the return of the Rams.
So with that said, here’s a look at every team confirmed for the 2024/25 Championship season.
Confirmed Championship 2024/25 teams
With seasons across the English pyramid drawing to a close, the team line-up for the 2024/25 Championship season is looking clearer.
Derby earned promotion from League One alongside Portsmouth – who will be playing second tier football for the first time since 2012.
The third team to join them from the division below will be decided shortly, as the 2024 League One play-offs begin in early May.
As for other division changes, Sheffield United are the only team that has been relegated from the Premier League so far, with two other sides set to join them in the coming weeks.
There are still several teams fighting relegation troubles or battling for promotion, which keeps them from being guaranteed as part of the league next season for at least a few more weeks.

Championship 2024/25 key fixture dates
The EFL have confirmed the key start dates and end dates for the 2024/25 Championship season.
As usual, there will be an early August start date for the second division, with the weekend of August 10th 2024 set out for the first round of fixtures.
The regular campaign will then draw to a close on May 3rd, 2025, with dates yet to be picked out for the play-offs that will follow.
A date for the fixture release itself is yet to be confirmed by the EFL, though it has traditionally posted the schedule in late June.
