Pundit Leroy Rosenior has said that one Manchester City player is now starting to show the best of himself.
The Manchester club’s previous Premier League game saw them beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 away from home.
With only four league games left to play in the campaign, one figure in Pep Guardiola’s ranks has found himself on the receiving end of some special praise.

Speaking in a recent edition of Fanzone by Premier League Productions (via Optus Sport), Rosenior had this to say about Josko Gvardiol.
He said: “I just want to go back to Gvardiol, why do you think it takes outstanding players almost a year to settle down?
“He was the best defender at the World Cup before he came to Man City, but we’re only now seeing the best of him.”
During the previous summer transfer window, the Citizens shelled out £77m to sign the defender from RB Leipzig.
Since then, the Croatian has gone on to make 37 appearances for City across all competitions, starting 33 of them.
Josko Gvardiol has been impressive at both ends of the pitch this season
His latest appearance for the Blues saw Gvardiol score his third goal of the season to put his side 1-0 up against Forest on Sunday as well as helping them keep another clean sheet.
Across his 24 Premier League appearances, the defender has racked up the second-highest combined total of tackles and interceptions (68) at City, putting him only behind Rodri (84).
The 22-year-old’s overall performances in the league have earned him a season rating of 6.82/10 from WhoScored, which places him higher than any other defender in the City squad.
With all of that in mind, it comes as no surprise that Rosenior has said that Gvardiol is starting to show his best now that he has added goals to his game.
Moving forward, if City end up winning the Premier League title, we think that the defender should be recognised as one of the best signings of the season.
