Report: Chelsea now looking to sign two strikers from the exact same club this summer

Reports have claimed that Chelsea could be looking for more than one striker to bolster their options ahead of next season.

It has been widely claimed over the entire season that the Blues are keen to add to their ranks as far as firepower goes ahead of next season.

This is as a result of Nicolas Jackson not being the clinical star many had been hoping they had uncovered when they brought him in last summer.

Despite the 22-year-old doing a lot of good work for the side in attack this season, it is fair to say a lot of points have been dropped off the back of big missed chances, with Jackson responsible for a fair few of them.

Of all the names they have been linked to this summer, some of those will cost the club close to a record fee to bring in.

However, if they were considering a more cash-effective alternative, Benjamin Sesko has often been mentioned as an option.

Chelsea want both Benjamin Sesko and Lois Openda

The 20-year-old has 15 goals to his name in all competitions this season, and looks a real talent for the future.

However, he is being one upped by one of this teammates this season, with Lois Openda sitting on 28 strikes in all competitions.

It has been reported by SportsCasting that the Blues could actually be interested in both options this summer, with a busy window expected to come.

Chelsea need to sell this summer

Any new signings are likely to have to come after a number of current first team stars are sold, with them needing to balance the books after a few lucrative windows.

The likes of Conor Gallagher are reportedly up for sale for the right price this summer, although many Chelsea fans would likely be gutted if the player who has been captain for the majority of the campaign was sold, especially to a rival.
