A Jersey Cash 5 lottery ticket sold at a liquor store in Essex County hit the $617,241 jackpot on Monday night.
The lucky winner bought the ticket matching all five numbers at White Oak Liquors on Union Avenue in Belleville, the New Jersey Lottery said.
Monday’s winning numbers were: 11, 18, 20, 25 and 36. The XTRA number was: 3. No one had hit the jackpot in the daily drawing for six days before Monday.
Tuesday’s top prize rolls back to $100,000.
The odds of a $1 ticket matching all five numbers (between 1 and 45) are 1,221,759 to 1.
Meanwhile, a Powerball ticket valued at $50,000 was bought Monday’s drawing at a convenience store in Somerset County.
