Man Wanted For Shooting Arrested At Lakewood High School Campus In St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. \- St. Petersburg Police Officers arrested 19-year-old James Flournoy 19 on the Lakewood High School campus today for two counts of attempted murder in the 2nd degree for a shooting incident that occurred on April 3rd.

Flournoy fired at a car that had two people inside in the 3600 block of 38th Way South. The driver was struck and suffered a non-life-threatening injury; the passenger was not hurt.

Flournoy is not currently a student at Lakewood High School. He was on campus to register for the Lakewood Community School.

When officers took him into custody on campus today, officers found a handgun and a felony amount of marijuana in his backpack.

He also faces charges for possession of a weapon on school grounds and felony possession of marijuana.
