Report: West Ham have offered a majorly lucrative contract to manager who has 174 career wins

A big contract offer has reportedly been made by West Ham United to a highly experienced manager.

West Ham manager David Moyes will surely be gone at the end of the season, and it seems like David Sullivan has made up his mind regarding who he wants to replace the Scot.

Moyes actually hinted back on Saturday that he could still be in charge at the London Stadium next season.

Anyone with half brain can see that he won’t still be our manager beyond the end of the current camapign though.

As well as he has done for us, it’s time for the club to head in an entirely different direction.

And it seems as though Sullivan has made a big move, albeit not a particularly exciting one…

West Ham have made a majorly lucrative offer to manager

There is so much excitement amongst the Hammers fans right now, with a brand new era of success potentially just around the corner.

However, to achieve exactly that, Sullivan absolutely has to ensure that he gets the appointment 100% spot on

And unfortunately, it appears as if the Hammers co-owner may well be about to fall at the very first hurdle.

According to Corriere della Sera, the West Ham owners have doubled the original offer they made to Julen Lopetegui.

It has been claimed recently that the Spaniard is the leading candidate to replace Moyes at the London Stadium.

He has won 174 out of the 312 games that he has managed (Footy Stats). That’s by no means a bad return but his footballing philosophy really doesn’t inspire me.

The Spaniard is a pragmatist by trade, and defensive solidarity is at the core of his philosophy.

The 57-year-old is just too similar to Moyes if you ask me, and appointing him would be a sideways step.

I would much prefer if we went for someone like Ruben Amorim, Paulo Fonseca, Thomas Tuchel or Hansi Flick.

The former Wolves manager is apparently the only one who West Ham have made an offer for so far though.
